This rod was exactly what I was looking for a casting rod for black rockfish when they are hitting top water and jigging rockfish a little light for the lings up north I use heavier gear for the lings up here we get into the 40 pound class fish high quality rod came a nice case to I have alot of gloomis bass rods and this is just as good as my gloomis if gloomis made this rod they would want 400 plus dollars for it super fast shipping to got it in one day but I don't live to far from matt it's maybe a little heavier than a heavy fast action bass rod

Love this rod for rockfish and lingcod. U can really feel the bottom good I have since purchased the spinning version but have yet to try it out.in the future I would love to see a heavier version capable of up a 16 oz jig.

To my surprise, it came in a nice soft case with a logo. I took it out on a Halibut/Stiper trip the next day and caught fish.. Action was great, felt balanced. Im planning on getting another one.
