Camera Gear

Below is the current gear I use to film my YouTube channel. I recommend it for whether you're first starting ouT Or continuing to grow your YouTube channel, or if you're just interested in filming what you do!

Started YouTube with a Canon ELPH 300HS and worked my way up to the current GH5 able to shoot in 4k 60fps.  But it’s not the body that gets the details; that’s the job of the lens.

DJI Phantom 4

Amazing video quality. 4k in 30fps or 24fps.  1080p in 60fps.  28 Min battery life is more than enough when you only use 1 minute max of drone footage per video.

Rode VideoMic Pro

When the wind is low and the subjects are near, this is the mic to have.  Three different preamps to cancel the hiss your camera body makes.  Great audio quality and works well with a Dead Cat to cancel additional wind noise.

GoPro HERO4 Silver

This is a great camera and the only reason for not upgrading to the 5 or 6 yet is because the 4 allows you to attach an external mic easily as well as Battery BacPac’s giving you 4 hours of record time without changing batteries.

SanDisk Extreme PLUS 64GB microSDXC

Enough memory for me to film three videos before clearing the card (although I prefer to clear them after every video just in case).
